Is Forsters a real store?

By Emma Jordan

Beef is now available to stream on Netflix. It follows the aftermath of a road rage incident involving a struggling contractor and a self-made businesswoman. Both can’t seem to let the altercation go, so they enter into a long-running feud that begins to impact their lives and relationships.

Spoilers ahead from Beef

Steven Yeun plays the role of Danny Cho, a failing handyman who is struggling financially and doesn’t have many jobs lined up. One day, Danny enters a store called Forsters to sell hibachi grills. Unfortunately, the return process doesn’t go well and Danny leaves the store angry. As he backs out of the parking lot, a white Mercedes SUV drives by and he almost hits it. The other driver in the SUV honks continuously at Danny before flicking him off and driving away. Refusing to let what just happened to him go, Danny decides to chase down the other driver.

The chase eventually comes to an end, and we find out the other driver is a wealthy plant entrepreneur named Amy Lau (Ali Wong). On the outside, it may look like Amy is living a perfect life, but she’s actually struggling with her mental health. Still, her main focus is selling her houseplant company to the big hardware store chain, Forsters, for millions of dollars. But will her epic feud with Danny ruin the chance of her business being sold?

Forsters is mentioned many times in the series since it’s important to Amy’s storyline. The Forsters flagship store is also shown a couple of times. But is Forsters an actual store you can shop at? Find out right below.

No, Forsters is not a real store you can visit and shop at in Los Angeles, California. Instead, it is a fictional home improvement store created for the show. However, the building used for the Forster scenes could actually be a hardware store. But unfortunately, we don’t know for sure where the Forster scenes were shot.

You can see short clips of the Forsters store in the Beef official trailer. Check it out below!
