Still heavy Kirstie Alley does Zumba in Kansas (video)

 
Last week, the National Enquirer’s cover story was all about how Kirstie Alley hasn’t lost the fifty pounds she was bragging about last fall and was just as heavy as ever. The Enquirer had some blurry photos of Kirstie at a Zumba dance class in Wichita, Kansas to show Kirstie at her current weight, and wrote that Kirstie has “been hiding out in Kansas and Florida.” We may have found the source for the Enquirer’s photo. Reader BRE in Kansas sent us this video (above) of Kirstie participating in a huge Zumba class on New Year’s day at the local YMCA there. She also pointed out in a comment that “Everyone in Wichita, Kansas knows where she lives, it’s two houses away from the Scientology center in the nicer older area of town. She gets annoyed that people drive by her house but she is on a major road.”

On the news segment, Kirstie explained that her sister is a zumba instructor in Wichita, and it sounds like she came out to support her. She seemed happy to talk to the cameraman, although Kirstie looked a little annoyed when she was being taped exercising. As for her weight loss (or lack thereof), she explained “I’m really interested in the journey this time rather than the race.”

I guess you can’t really say that Kirstie is “hiding out” if she’s openly talking to the local news. It does sound like she wanted a break from LA and the paparazzi and tried to achieve that by moving closer to her sister and the local office for her cult. She’s a piece of work but I have to give her a break for this. Maybe if Kirstie continues to stay in Kansas and Florida or wherever I’ll find her much more tolerable.

This video also made me want to try Zumba! It looks like so much fun.

In related news, Kirstie recently turned 60 and bragged that John Travolta came out and took her shopping. I’m sure he popped out to the spa afterwards and then headed to the local Scientology outlet for some tin can therapy.
